What Does Custom Really Mean?

In the low-voltage industry, “CUSTOM” gets tossed around a lot. We even call ourselves “Custom Integrators.”

But let’s be real—most of the time CUSTOM just means ordering built-to-spec speaker cabinets from Leon Speakers or scrolling through Lutron’s endless catalog of shade fabrics. Great products? Absolutely. Nice options for sure. But is that really custom?
At System Dynamics, we don’t think so.
For us, custom means building what doesn’t exist. Engineering solutions to problems no one else has solved. One-of-a-kind pieces that transform a project from standard to legendary.
Custom roller shade brackets for a challenging installation?
We'll engineer and manufacture that.

Need a camera mount that isn’t on any shelf?
We’ve designed and fabricated it.

Oversized keypad faceplates brushed and anodized to match your spec?
We’ve made those too.

Need to replace an antiquated intercom with a cutting edge video doorbell?
We've got that covered.

Craving a doorbell controller with a 32-bit DAC that plays different Hi-Fi Claude Debussy riffs depending on which doorbell in your chateau rings?
Done.

That’s what custom really is. That’s why System Dynamics isn’t just another integrator—we’re the crew you call when “off the shelf” doesn’t cut it.
Here, we don’t outsource imagination. We design, engineer, and manufacture solutions in-house—from the first sketch to the final install. No middlemen. No compromises. Just pure, purpose-built creations made to solve problems no one else can touch.
So the real question is:
What can we build for you?
